Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has said that Bola Tinubu is distancing himself from President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration out of fear of its failures.

He was responding to Tinubu’s remark during a campaign rally in Abeokuta, Ogun State, where he had critiqued the country’s economic situation and blamed it on the failure to tackle it earlier.

Atiku added through his Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu, that Tinubu is only trying to disassociate himself from the All Progressives Congress’s (APC) track record since 2015 after having once defended it vigorously.

Shaibu further stated that Tinubu must not be allowed to deceive Nigerians by pretending he is siding with them when all along he has been a part of this problem.
