Houston Rockets’ Josh Okogie will spearhead Nigeria’s 2025 AfroBasket campaign in Angola from August 12 to 24 – www.naijnaira.com reports.

It’s his first appearance for D’Tigers since the 2023 World Cup qualifiers.

Stan Okoye, the only remaining member of Nigeria’s 2015 title-winning squad, returns to guide younger teammates.

Ike Nwamu also brings Olympic experience and clutch scoring.

BAL standout Caleb Agada and versatile forward Devine Eke strengthen the roster.

Nigeria face defending champions Tunisia, Cameroon, and Madagascar in Group B.

Their opening game is against Madagascar on August 13.

Victory would make Nigeria holders of both men’s and women’s continental titles.
