Adekunle Gold, the Nigerian music sensation also known as AG Baby, has finally released his highly anticipated extended play (EP) titled ‘Tio Tequila’.
The three-track collection is a precursor to his upcoming Def Jam debut, which is scheduled to be released in July.
Adekunle Gold announced the EP’s release on his Instagram page with a simple yet impactful message.
‘Tio Tequila’ features two new singles, “Do You Mind” and “Omo Eko”, as well as his previously released “Party No Dey Stop” with Zinoleesky.
The summer-ready tracks incorporate Afrobeats, R&B, and amapiano and were produced by fellow Nigerian record producer and GRAMMY winner Kel-P.
This EP marks Adekunle Gold’s first project under the prestigious label Def Jam Recordings, which is part of the Universal Music Group (UMG).
Speaking with The FADER, AG Baby said that ‘Tio Tequila’ is a metaphor for where he is in life right now and that the three songs are a teaser for what’s to come on his next album.
The EP was released on May 25 and is available for streaming on all platforms.
