Air Peace, a Nigerian airline, has launched direct nonstop flights to Mumbai, the capital city of Maharashtra State in South-Western India.
The airline will be starting with two weekly flight frequencies to Mumbai, with plans to commence Delhi operations as soon as the Mumbai service gains significant momentum.
The direct flight will save time, money, and avoid stopover stress for Nigerians and Indians who previously had to travel for many hours to India with stopovers via other countries.
Air Peace will be deploying its Boeing 777 aircraft with a ticket fare of N450,000 per flight.
The Mumbai route is the airline’s fourth international destination and is indicative of its commitment to continually expand its route network to meet the evolving travel needs of not only the Nigerian market but also the West African sub-region.
The launch fare of N450,000 is unbeatable, especially considering that the airline is deploying its comfy Boeing 777 aircraft, offering passengers best-in-class hospitality.
Discussions are ongoing with some Indian airlines for an interline partnership that would connect not just the West but North, East, and South of India to Nigeria and other West African regions.
Air Peace is investing in modern aircraft, with 37 aircraft currently and still expecting eight brand new Embraer 195-E2s and additional 15 brand new Boeing 737 Max 8 and 10 orders to boost its operations.
The airline plans to launch Israel, Jeddah, Malabo, Congo Kinshasa, Lome, and recently introduced Abuja-Banjul and Abuja-Dakar connections.
The Mumbai service is a big stride for the airline and a huge feat for Nigeria in the implementation of its Bilateral Air Services Agreement (BASA) with India, deepening socio-economic ties between both countries.
