Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo has been the subject of a death rumor in Germany, but recent updates and a shared photo on Twitter confirm that he is alive and recovering.
Senator Adeniyi Adegbonmire visited Governor Akeredolu in Germany, dispelling the rumors of his death.
Sources have dismissed the unconfirmed claim and stated that the governor will be returning to Nigeria soon.
Pastor Bankole Oluwajana, a former national vice chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) Southwest zone, confirmed that preparations were made for Governor Akeredolu’s return to Ondo last week, but it was postponed.
It is expected that he will resume his official duties in the state in the coming days.
“As at two hours ago when I discussed with necessary stakeholders, the expectation was that Governor Akeredolu would return to Nigeria this week.
“In fact, preparation was made to receive him back in Ondo last week but it was postponed. Hopefully, he will return this week.”
