Akpabio provides clarification on Let the Masses Breathe comment

The President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, has clarified the statement “let the masses breathe” made by the upper chamber of the National Assembly.

Akpabio explained that the purpose of the statement was to reject any plan of increasing electricity tariffs for Nigerians, considering the ongoing economic challenges faced by the country.

He emphasized that the statement was not meant to make light of the hardships and suffering experienced by Nigerians.

Akpabio assured the public that all matters discussed during Senate sessions are treated with great seriousness and that the current National Assembly is focused on implementing effective policies that benefit the people.

He expressed empathy for Nigerians and reiterated his commitment to serving their best interests.

With the appointment of new ministers, there is hope that they will address the challenges and provide relief to the citizens, easing the current hardships experienced by Nigerians.
