The Nigerian entertainment industry has suffered another loss as Nollywood actor Chikezie Uwazie passed away in the United States.
Obey Etok Chima, a colleague of Uwazie, confirmed the news on Sunday night, stating that the actor had undergone a second brain surgery before his death.
Uwazie had left Nigeria for the US seven years ago in search of better opportunities.
He was a prominent figure in Nollywood during the early 2000s and appeared in several films, including “Musical Whispers” and “Village Destroyer”.
The news of Uwazie’s death comes at a time when the industry is already mourning the loss of other popular actors.
