After facing pressure from within the party, the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the dates for the national caucus and National Executive Committee (NEC) meetings.
The meetings are scheduled to take place on July 10 and 11, 2023.
This decision comes after the national vice chairman (North West) of the party, Salihu Lukman, criticized the national chairman, Abdulahi Adamu, for not convening the NEC meeting.
Lukman had filed a lawsuit to compel Adamu and the national secretary, Iyiola Omisore, to hold the meetings.
In his statement, Lukman accused Adamu of running the party without the input of the NWC members and treating them like his appointees.
He called for the rebuilding of the APC and emphasized the need for accountability and transparency within the party.
