Arsenal are reportedly edging closer to finalising a long-term contract extension with promising winger Bukayo Saka, who has excelled for both the club and England.
As the 21-year-old’s current contract is due to run out in 2024, they have been keen to tie him down before other top European clubs swoop in.
Various reports claim that the Premier League frontrunners are expecting to offer Saka a deal worth at least £10m per year, which he is expected to accept.
Only recently Gabriel Martinelli signed a new long-term deal with Arsenal, and now attention has turned back to securing Saka.
He has impressed immensely since coming through their academy and already amassed 33 goals and 37 assists from 162 appearances in all competitions.
Last season alone he provided 11 goals and seven assists across all competitions, as well as making 50 Premier League contributions this campaign.
The Englishman was also part of Gareth Southgate’s squad for last summer’s World Cup, where his contributions included three goals in four appearances.
Arsenal are also hoping to keep hold of Granit Xhaka whose contract similarly expires in 2024, having held talks with him over a potential new deal.
