Arsenal picked up their first Champions League win of the season with a solid 2-0 victory over Paris Saint-Germain at the Emirates Stadium.

After a goalless draw away to Atalanta, the Gunners were eager to showcase their offensive prowess on home soil.

Kai Havertz opened the scoring within 20 minutes, heading in a cross to continue his impressive streak of six consecutive home goals.

Arsenal doubled their lead before halftime when Bukayo Saka’s wide free-kick sailed past everyone, including PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, and found the back of the net.

The second half saw a more controlled performance from Arsenal, who were happy to let PSG have possession while restricting them to few real chances.

Mikel Arteta’s men focused on defending their lead and succeeded in neutralizing the threats posed by the visitors, ensuring a confident finish to the match.

With this win, Arsenal is now in a strong position for the knockout stages.

Their attention in Europe now turns to Shakhtar Donetsk’s visit to the Emirates, followed by challenging away games against Inter Milan and Sporting later in the group stage.
