According to Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal has sent scouts to watch Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi and Robin Le Normand.

The Gunners have been linked with Zubimendi for some time, but Le Normand is a new name on their radar.

With William Saliba unavailable, Arsenal is looking to improve their right-centre-half position, which is why Le Normand is being considered.

The Frenchman has a release clause of £44 million in his contract, and he has played over 170 games for Sociedad.

Romano reveals that Arsenal is closely monitoring both Le Normand and Zubimendi, but no concrete plans have been made yet.

Le Normand could potentially replace Rob Holding on the right side of Arsenal’s central defence, as he is more comfortable in possession and could improve their attacking play.

However, the Gunners’ plans for new signings will be made in the coming weeks.
