Arsenal Football Club has unveiled a statue of former manager Arsène Wenger at Emirates Stadium to honor his remarkable contribution to the club.
Wenger served as manager from October 1996 to May 2018, leading the team to three Premier League titles, including an unbeaten season, seven FA Cup wins, and 20 consecutive years in the UEFA Champions League.
Over his 22-year tenure, Wenger managed the team in 1,235 matches and transformed the club’s identity with his vision for the game, earning him the title of the creator of the “modern Arsenal.”
The bronze statue, created by sculptor Jim Guy, stands 3.5 meters tall and depicts Wenger lifting the Premier League trophy.
It joins five other statues of key figures in the club’s history at Emirates Stadium.
Wenger will be the guest of honor at the Emirates Cup match against AS Monaco and will visit his statue in the coming days.
