According to reports, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is interested in signing Manchester City defender Joao Cancelo.
Cancelo, who fell out of favor with Pep Guardiola at City, completed a loan switch to Bayern Munich in January and has since made regular appearances for the Bundesliga giants.
However, his future at City remains uncertain and he could be on his way out in the summer.
Arteta and Cancelo have worked together in the past when the former was assistant to Guardiola at City, and the Arsenal boss feels that Cancelo would suit their current style of play.
Although Cancelo has previously stated he would be open to a return to City, he is unlikely to be a part of their first team squad next season.
Bayern have the option to make his move permanent for a fee of around £61million, but Barcelona and Real Madrid are also said to be interested in a potential move.
Cancelo has featured 18 times for Bayern during his loan spell, scoring one goal and assisting a further five, including two appearances against his parent club in the Champions League quarter-finals.
A move to Arsenal could see him revitalize his Premier League career, having already won two titles in the English top flight.
However, it would also mean joining this season’s runners-up, with City currently sitting top of the table with four games left to play.
