Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has provided an update on the availability of William Saliba and Eddie Nketiah for their upcoming match against West Ham.
Unfortunately, Saliba will not be able to play due to a back injury he sustained during the Europa League defeat by Sporting Lisbon.
However, Arteta stated that Saliba is progressing well and will soon return to training on the grass.
Nketiah, on the other hand, is available for selection once again.
With Takehiro Tomiyasu also injured for the remainder of the season, Rob Holding is expected to keep his spot alongside Gabriel for the trip to the London Stadium.
Arteta will be hoping for Saliba’s return soon, especially with their top-of-the-table clash against Manchester City just 12 days away.
In their previous match against Liverpool, Arteta admitted that his side did not manage the Anfield crowd well.
Arteta will face his former boss David Moyes on Sunday, whom he has a huge amount of admiration for after their years together at Everton.
Arteta also praised title winners Oleksandr Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus for bringing a difficult but necessary element to the team.
