Nigeria’s Supreme Court has adjourned the hearing in a suit filed by Kaduna, Kogi, and Zamfara states, who are challenging the Central Bank’s (CBN) naira redesign policy.
The Supreme Court directed all parties to maintain the status quo while they determined the case and quashed all deadlines until further notice.
The hearing was postponed again to February 22nd in order to accommodate other states joining on both sides of the argument.
Bayelsa and Edo States have applied to join on behalf of the Federal Government while some other states seeking relief for their citizens have also joined Zamfara, Kaduna and Kogi in their suit.
