President Bola Tinubu’s long-awaited ministerial list has finally been presented to the Senate.
The list arrived on the 54th day of President Tinubu’s term, just before the deadline of 60 days for submitting ministerial names to the National Assembly.
There has been much speculation about the individuals who will make up the President’s cabinet. Prior to this, President Tinubu had appointed special advisers during his two months in office.
The list reportedly underwent scrutiny by the Department of State Service (DSS) and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
It is believed that the President used this process to filter out certain names rather than outright rejection.
Initially, the list was expected to be read on the floor of the Senate on Wednesday, but it was delayed.
However, the latest report confirms that the list has now been moved to the Senate and will be read soon.
