Southampton have agreed a €21m deal with KRC Genk to sign Nigerian forward Paul Onuachu.
The deal consists of an initial fee of €18m plus €3 million in additional payments.
Upon completion of the transfer, Onuachu will sign a three-and-a-half-year contract with manager Dean Jones’ side and join fellow Nigerian Joe Aribo as part of their squad.
Onuachu has already scored an impressive 16 goals in 19 league matches this season, and Southampton are hoping that his addition will help them remain in the Premier League after they currently sit at the bottom with 15 points from 20 matches.
