Buhari’s Classmate and Tinubu’s New Nominees Confirmed by Senate

The Senate has confirmed the nominees of President Bola Tinubu for the governing board of the North East Development Commission.

Among the appointees confirmed by the Senate is General Paul Tarfa, a former classmate of President Muhammadu Buhari.

The confirmation took place during the Senate plenary after the nominees underwent screening.

President Tinubu had urged the lawmakers to confirm the appointments in a letter read by Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

This confirmation comes just two months after President Tinubu assumed office.
