Burna Boy Makes History as First African Artiste to Hit 1 Billion Streams on Audiomack

Nigerian singer Burna Boy has made history as the first African artist to reach one billion music streams on Audiomack.

The online music platform announced the achievement on its social media pages, congratulating the artist, whose real name is Damini Ogulu.

Burna Boy gained fame with his hit single “Like to Party” from his debut album “L.I.F.E” in 2013 and has since become one of the biggest Afrobeats stars in the world.

His fifth album, “Twice As Tall,” won the “Best World Music Album” category at the 2021 Grammy Awards.

Burna Boy has also sold out notable venues worldwide and was recently ranked as the African artist with the highest revenue from a single concert.
