Incredible CCTV footage has captured the brave moment a tourist and police officer rushed to help save an allegedly drunk driver from his burning car.
Officer Derek Stebbins of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and Justin Mouser, a barber from Kentucky who was on vacation with his wife, quickly worked together to pull the driver out of the sedan and away from the wildfire.
In just 10 seconds after they managed to free him, the white car erupted into flames. Reports say that the driver had been given charges for DUI, failure to maintain lane and proof of insurance.
Both Officer Stebbins and Justin have been hailed as heroes by LVMPD who said that their event was crucial in saving his life.
The barber expressed shock at being called a hero but humbly said “I think the officer would have got him regardless…I’m glad the guy’s going to be OK.”
