Celebrity Plane Owned by Mötley Crüe’s Vince Neil Involved in Fatal Arizona Crash

A private jet owned by Mötley Crüe frontman Vince Neil veered off course while landing at Scottsdale Airport on Monday afternoon, colliding with a parked aircraft in a devastating crash that claimed the life of one pilot. Fortunately, Neil himself was not on board.

High-Flying Tragedy

According to a statement released by Neil’s representative, Worrick Robinson IV, the accident occurred at 2:39 p.m. local time when a Learjet Model 35A, registered under Neil’s name, attempted to land. Mid-descent, the aircraft swerved off the runway and slammed into a stationary Gulfstream G200, triggering a catastrophic scene.

Inside Neil’s jet were two pilots and two passengers. A Scottsdale Fire Department spokesperson later confirmed that of the five individuals involved in the crash, one tragically lost their life.

Two others were critically injured and rushed to trauma centers, while another was transported to a hospital in stable condition. One person declined medical treatment altogether.

Neil, who was not present during the incident, expressed his condolences. “His thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected,” Robinson stated, adding that the rocker was deeply appreciative of the swift response from first responders.

Passengers & Investigation

Mötley Crüe’s longtime manager, Allen Kovac, revealed to TMZ that Neil’s girlfriend, Rain Hannah, and her friend Ashley were among the injured. Miraculously, the dogs they were traveling with survived unscathed.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the Learjet suffered a landing gear failure upon arrival from Austin, Texas, leading to the crash. Footage of the accident captured the nose of the Learjet dipping forward, scraping along the tarmac before colliding with the parked plane.

The National Transportation Safety Board has taken over the investigation, with further details expected in the coming days.

Neil has been the voice of Mötley Crüe since the band’s early days in 1981, joining bassist Nikki Sixx, drummer Tommy Lee, and guitarist Mick Mars to create one of rock’s most notorious acts. With nine studio albums, all of which cracked the top 10 on the Billboard 200, the “Shout at the Devil” icons remain one of the biggest names in rock history.
