After the recent sacking of Graham Potter, Chelsea are once again on the hunt for a new manager.

Julian Nagelsmann, who was recently sacked by Bayern Munich, is the top contender for the position.

Despite being regarded as one of the brightest young minds in the game, Nagelsmann may reject the offer due to his past experience with Real Madrid.

In 2019, he was approached by the Spanish giants but turned down the opportunity, stating that he wanted to improve as a manager and that there was no time for that at Real Madrid.

He also expressed a desire to work at a club with a clear structure and vision, which may not align with Chelsea’s recent history of burning through coaches and making numerous signings.

However, Chelsea hopes to convince Nagelsmann that they are on a new, more structured path with the recent appointments of technical and sporting directors.

They also hope to leverage the successful collaboration between Nagelsmann and the technical director at his former club, RB Leipzig.

Ultimately, it remains to be seen whether Nagelsmann will be convinced to take on the role at Chelsea.
