DsTv E16 Error was meant to appear when your subscription has expired but sometimes it does pop up even when you still have an active subscription.
If it is the former, you should renew your DStv subscription but if it is the latter, then follow the guide below to get rid of it.

You can do this in 3 different ways. You can use the SMS method which your service provider will charge you for, you can use the online method which requires internet access or you can use the USSD code which also attracts charges from your service provider.
How to Clear E16 Error on DStv
Text “RA SmartCardNumber” to 30333. Let’s say your smart card number is 0231458909, you have to send “RA 0231458909” as SMS to 30333.
The error code should disappear after a few seconds and you can continue enjoying your viewing.
How to Clear E16 Online
- Navigate to Nigeria version of DsTv website ).
- Look for and hover your mouse or tap on Service among the top tab.
- Under Manage my Subscription, click on Fix Errors.
- Input your smart card number, select E16, enter captcha into the appropriate box and click on Fix Error.
You need internet access to use this method.
Clearing E16 on DsTv Using USSD Codes
- Dial *288*2#.
- Reply with option for DsTv.
- Enter your decoder smartcard number and send.
Final Note
