“Competition is fine, cheating is not” - Musk slams Zuckerberg as Threads nears 100m users

Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter, took a jab at Mark Zuckerberg, the owner of Meta, as the new Threads platform approaches 100 million users.

Musk has been critical of Threads since its launch, even filing a lawsuit against Meta for allegedly poaching former Twitter staff to build the app.

In response to a Twitter post about the lawsuit, Musk stated, “Competition is fine, cheating is not.”

He later referred to Threads as “just Instagram minus pics” and questioned its purpose. In another tweet, Musk called Zuckerberg a derogatory term.

On the other hand, Zuckerberg has also made jibes at Musk, responding to Threads posts with one-word comments.

The rivalry between the two tech billionaires has even led to discussions of a potential MMA fight.

Despite their banter, both Musk and Zuckerberg have expressed their intentions to focus on their respective platforms and address issues such as hate speech and misinformation.
