The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has insisted that the health status of its leader, Nnamdi Kanu, is deteriorating and urged the Department of State Services (DSS) not to dismiss this statement as a political move.
IPOB spokesman Emma Powerful maintained that the Nigerian government and DSS are both very aware of how their continued imprisonment, denial of proper treatment and inadequate medication has led to Kanu’s current poor health condition.
He also added that they will continue to raise awareness of the Nigerian government’s intention to secretly eliminate Kanu, regardless of any ranting or attempts to distract people.
Furthermore, Powerful called out the DSS for denying Kanu access to a doctor since mid-December 2022 and preventing him from taking his medications according to the prescription.
He strongly reiterated that if anything happened to Kanu in DSS’s custody, it would be seen as a grave injustice by both IPOB members abroad and Ndigbo worldwide.
