Dangote Industries Limited has declared that the commissioning of the Dangote Refinery in Lagos will take place before President Muhammadu Buhari leaves office on May 29, 2023.
Despite false reports that Mr Buhari had already commissioned this project during his two-day visit to Lagos on Monday, it was actually not part of his programme.
The refinery, with a capacity to refine 650,000 barrels of crude oil daily, is owned by billionaire businessman Aliko Dangote.
Other projects which Mr Buhari inaugurated included the Lekki Deep Sea Port and the 32-Metric Tonnes Imota Rice Mill.
When the time comes for the commissioning of the refinery, the public will be duly informed and invited to attend what is sure to be an epic event.
