Ed Sheeran Shares Personal Struggles in Candid Video

Superstar Ed Sheeran recently opened up about the “turbulent things” that have occurred in his personal life, outlining why he’s taken a break from public life.

Posting an unusually personal video on Instagram, Ed expressed his reluctance to “pretend to be something I’m not,” as he disclosed why he hasn’t been engaging with much of his fanbase or social media recently.

Explaining further that “weird s**t is gonna start being posted here,” the 31-year-old singer revealed how he’s been dealing with some major events in the last few years.

Not only has Ed welcomed two children into the world, but he also lost a close friend and collaborator, Jamal Edwards, last February.

As Ed went on a break from social media back in November 2020, he’s now returned with new music composed as tribute to Jamal following his death.

The lyrics of Ed’s latest reflect on their friendship and what it meant for him professionally and personally – “we should have known that we’d be lost without you”.

His worldwide tour is currently visiting Australia and New Zealand.
