In a report by Daily Independent, All Progressives Congress (APC) officials are working to extend the general election timetable by four weeks.
The mastermind behind this alleged move is said to be Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State.
It is rumoured that the party hopes to launch this effort due to ongoing chaotic economic conditions in the country, such as naira scarcity, fuel shortages, and widespread protests.
An APC source told Daily Independent: “The APC is seeking a postÂponement of the election by four weeks and the move is led by Governor Nasir El-Rufai. I think it has to do with the current chaos being experiÂenced as a result of the naira and fuel scarcity.”
