Elon Musk, the owner of X (formerly known as Twitter), has reinstated the Twitter account of Kanye West, the famous American singer and fashion designer.
However, West’s account will not be able to monetize and no ads will appear next to his posts.
The account now has a golden verification tick, indicating that X recognizes it as an official business account.
It is unclear whether Kanye submitted an appeal or if something else prompted the reactivation of his account, as he has yet to post on the platform.
This comes after Kanye’s account was suspended in December 2022 for violating the platform’s rules on inciting violence with his antisemitic comments.
