After his team Roma progressed to the Europa League quarter-finals, Jose Mourinho made a jab at both Juventus and Lazio.
He bashed Juventus for making it into the Europa League after they were knocked out of the Champions League, saying that when a team is eliminated from a competition, they need to go home.
Although he didn’t directly mention it in regard to them, he made sure to point out that Lazio wouldn’t have a third competition pointing out their loss that Thursday.
Roma managed to take back a 0-0 draw at Real Sociedad but did face lots of pressure with 19 shots given and only having 24 percent possession.
In Friday’s last-eight draw, Juventus, Manchester United, Feyenoord, Sporting CP, Sevilla, Bayer Leverkusen and Union Saint-Gilloise will be joining Roma.
Mourinho concluded by saying his team may not be the strongest but they know how to stick together as a group.
