Facebook is introducing a variety of comment moderation tools to help creators better manage their conversations across the social media platform.
Featuring a new Comments Manager section in Facebook’s Professional Dashboard, these tools will enable creators to search comments based on keywords and emojis, take bulk actions such as liking or hiding comments, and view statistics about certain moderation activities.
As part of the company’s commitment to marking Safer Internet Day, Bobby Marshall, Head of Creator Safety Programs at Facebook said:
“Building tools that help keep creators and their communities safe is foundational to Facebook’s creator efforts, and we’ve continued to invest here…Our goal with these tools is to give creators the time back to do what they do best – create content and build their community.”
In addition to these features, Moderation Assist now offers an Activity Log for proactive moderation.
This tool allows creators to see how many comments have been hidden in the past 30 days as well as preview criteria set for hiding comments.
