Former Anambra Central Senatorial District representative, Senator Clement Annie Okonkwo, has passed away at the age of 63 after a brief illness.
Okonkwo, who was elected under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, served in the Sixth National Assembly from 2007-2011 and was also a former governorship aspirant during the 2010 governorship election in the state.
His son, Uchenna Harris Okonkwo, is set to be inaugurated as the House of Representatives member-elect for Idemili North and South Federal Constituency of the state in the coming days.
The family has not yet released an official statement regarding his passing.
