According to L’Equipe, Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe is the highest-paid player in Europe, earning more than twice as much as any other player. The 25-year-old’s future has been the subject of much speculation, especially after almost signing for Real Madrid in the summer of 2022. However, Mbappe ultimately decided to stay at PSG and signed a new contract, making him the top earner in Europe’s top five leagues.
Mbappe takes home a staggering €6 million (£5.15m) each month, which is more than double the salary of Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane, who is the second-highest-paid player on the list. Kane, who recently moved to Germany, earns €2.10m (£1.80m) per month, making him the highest-paid player in the Bundesliga.
Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne is narrowly behind Kane, earning €2.02m (£1.73m) monthly. Real Madrid defender David Alaba rounds out the top five with a monthly salary of €1.88m (£1.61m).
