Alejandro Garnacho is reportedly set to leave Manchester United, with Napoli agreeing in principle to a deal for the winger.

The talented winger has become one of the club’s most valuable assets since his arrival from Atletico Madrid’s academy for a nominal fee.

However, under manager Ruben Amorim, Garnacho has struggled for game time, with players like Amad Diallo and Mason Mount being preferred in the 3-4-3 formation.

This has made him a potential asset for sale this January, as United seeks to comply with Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).

Reports indicate that Napoli is interested in securing Garnacho as a replacement for Kvicha Kvaratskhelia, who is linked to a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

Although Napoli is eager to complete the transfer, Manchester United is holding out for €70 million, while Napoli’s president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, reportedly won’t exceed €50 million.

Tottenham Hotspur is also said to be in the race for Garnacho.

This transfer saga is likely to extend until the end of the January window.

Despite interest from Napoli and Tottenham, United may still hold onto Garnacho if the offers don’t meet their valuation.
