General Lucky Eluonye Irabor (rtd), the former Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), has officially retired from the Nigerian Armed Forces.

A pulling out parade was held at Mogadishu Cantonment in Asokoro, Abuja to honor his service.

The ceremony was attended by the new Chief of Defence Staff, Major General CG Musa, as well as other high-ranking military officials.

Governor Sheriff Oborewori of Delta State, Mr. Boss Mustapha, former SGF, and past Chiefs of Defence, Army, Navy, and Air Staff were also present.

General Lucky Irabor, born on October 5, 1965, served as the Chief of Defence, Training and Operations (CDTOP) at the Defence Headquarters before being appointed as CDS.

He has received training from various institutions, including the Ghana Armed Forces Staff College, the National Defence College Bangladesh, and Harvard Kennedy School of Government Executive Programme.

Throughout his career, he held important positions such as Theatre Commander of Operation Lafiya Dole in North-East Nigeria and Force Commander of the Multinational Joint Task Force in the Lake Chad Basin Area.
