WhatsApp has just released 21 new Unicode 15.0 emojis to its beta testers on the Android platform.
The latest update, v2.23.5.13 for both v2.23.5.12 and v2.23.5.13, makes it possible for users to access the full range of Unicode 15.0 emoji from within the app without resorting to external keyboards or other third-party sources – as previously would have been necessary – in order to express themselves more completely and accurately online using emoji symbols like the gray heart, blue heart, pink heart, rightwards and leftwards pushing hands, jellyfish, ginger, shaking face, khanda wireless etcetera.
By approving these emojis via its own servers before they are released with any given software updates in different operating systems, Whatsapp not only gives users quicker access but also ensures uniformity across all platforms regardless of update status while adding another layer of versatility that were previously unavailable when relying on standalone OS emoji implementation; some of which may be visible to one user but absent to another using the same OS with a similar current version of an app installed
