Google Pixel 4a Price in Nigeria

There is only one build of the Pixel 4a and this build of the Google phone retails for €340. Since €1 currently equals N447, its price is N152,000 Naira in Nigeria.

Google Pixels have always been known to be nice-looking phones, and the Pixel 4a does not disappoint in this aspect. The phone is as cool as you’d expect a typical Pixel device to be.

The phone comes in only one colour, which is black. And since black is a colour universally accepted, we can’t consider Google to have disappointed in this aspect, even though the product is not available in fancy colours.

The front of the phone is protected with a Corning Gorilla Glass 3. As for the rear side of the phone, there isn’t any glass present.

The rear side of the phone rather features a poly carbonate material.

Talking about the dimension and the mass of the product, the phone is large enough.

However, this may not be a product you would want, if you’re the kind who loves very large devices.

The phone has a length of about 144.2 mm, compared to something of about 160 mm which most mid-range devices have.

In fact, the Pixel 3a is a bit longer than the 4a, with a length of about 151.3 mm. This, however, doesn’t mean the 3a comes with a larger display.

In terms of thickness, it is not the most impressive product out there. However, the phone is okay enough for most Android users. The phone has a thickness of about 8.2 mm, which is very likely close to the thickness of your present phone.

As for the mass of this device, there is also nothing to worry about. The phone is not very light, and neither is it annoyingly heavy. Its mass is within the range expected of a typical mid-range phone.

Computing Hardware

The Pixel 4a is a quite impressive device, in terms of computing power. The phone comes powered by one of Qualcomm’s best mid-range chipsets, the Qualcomm SDM730 Snapdragon 730.

The Qualcomm SDM730 Snapdragon 730 houses an octa-core processor, two cores of which are the main cores. These cores in question are members of the well-known Kryo 475 Gold family.

In other words, their performance is little you have to worry about, as we have already seen them in action, a good number of times. It is also worthwhile stating that these two cores are rated at 2.20 GHz.

As for the six other cores of the chipset, they are members of the Kryo 475 Silver family.

Cores belonging to this family are also known to be quite impressive, although they are not as powerful as members of the Kryo 475 Gold family.

As stated above, there is only one variant of the Pixel 4a. And this one variant of the phone comes powered by 6 GB of RAM.

But while Google could have done a better job, by equipping the phone with a larger RAM, Google cannot be said to have disappointed, as 6 GB of RAM is more than enough for most people this product was designed for.

While an octa-core processor is tasked with the general computing tasks of the smartphone, the tasks which are graphics-related are delegated to the Adreno 618 GPU.

The Adreno 618 graphics processor is a product we have seen in a lot of impressive mid-range devices, so there is also no question as regards whether the GPU would perform impressively.

When it comes to display, the Pixel 4a is hands-down one of the best mid-range devices you can possibly get.

There are a lot of devices which come with chipsets that are as good as that of the 4a, as well as RAMs as good as its RAM.

But, when it comes to display, only a minority of mid-range devices get to compete with this product.

First and foremost, the display of the phone is an OLED display. This not only means better power-efficiency, it also means better colour accuracy.

The pixel density of this phone is also a thing hardly anyone would be able to push aside.

Operating System

Phones released during this period come equipped with the Android 10 operating system.

And Google has not disappointed in this aspect. The manufacturer equipped the phone with the Android 10 operating system.

As for those who wonder if the phone’s OS is a stock Android or not, the phone is of course powered by a stock Android 10 OS.

In other words, if you’re the kind who prefers stock Androids over most custom Androids, you shouldn’t have any problem with the OS of this product.

Pixel 4a is a phone coming with 128 GB of storage space. As of 2020, a storage of this size is more than enough for most mid-range phone users.

Even though the OS and pre-installed apps of the phone would take some GB of storage, what is left would still be enough.

It is however important stating that the Pixel 4a doesn’t come with support for micro SD card.

In other words, if you’re very sure 128 GB wouldn’t be enough for your use, then you might have to consider some other phone.

When it comes to the aspect of camera, the Pixel 4a isn’t so impressive. In fact, it wouldn’t come as a surprise if some people claim to be disappointed.

The rear side of the phone is equipped with the Sony IMX363 Exmor RS camera sensor. The sensor has got a resolution of 12.2 MP.

And there are no other sensors supporting this Sony IMX363 Exmor RS sensor.

However, even though the Google could have done a better job with the rear camera of the phone, don’t make the mistake of thinking this 12.2 MP is like the 12/13/16 MP cameras seen in many other smart phones.

The 12.2 MP camera featured by the 4a is much better than the 12/13/16 MP cameras of many other devices.

As for the selfie cameras of the phone, an 8 MP camera acts as the selfie camera of the phone.

While there’s also nothing special about the 8 MP selfie camera, you should keep in mind that the selfie camera of this phone is much better than the selfie cameras of many other products in its category.

Final Words

The Pixel 4a is not a 5G-enabled smartphone. In other words, if you’re using this product by the time 5G becomes mainstream, you wouldn’t get to enjoy this next generation of mobile networks.

So before deciding to buy this product, you have to be sure you have no problem with the lack of 5G support.

So to conclude this content, the Pixel 4a is a nice-looking phone which is okay in terms of computing power. It is also pretty impressive in terms of display.

However, when it comes to storage, cameras, and 5G support, there are some disappointments.

So, if you have little issues with the aspects where the phone disappoints, then you can consider it.

As for those who wonder when the device would be available for sales, the phone is already available for pre-sale.

So if you already have the money for the product, you can make a pre-sale order and get it shortly after it becomes available for public sales.

So guys, what’s your take on the new Google Pixel 4a and its price in Nigeria? Worth it?

Other great phones at that price point are the OnePlus Nord and iPhone SE. Be sure to go through their review too.
