Many of us were concerned about how secure our money will be under gtb 737 mobile banking when it was first introduced, but we all look for different way around it. Well today, am delighted to announce to you that gtbank has taken a great step in making the platform more secure.

What do i mean by more secure? Well, we all know that the only authentication required to complete any transaction while using the 737 code is the last 4-digit of your ATM card. Which means virtually anybody that has access to your phone and your atm card can successfully make these transactions. But that breach in firewall has been closed.

For the past three days now (Feb 22 2017), you can’t make any transaction with the 737 transfer code without first setting up a 4-digit Gt 737 PIN which will now be used to complete your 737 transactions.

All you have to do is;

  • Dial *737*5#.
  • Input the last 6 digits of your debit card.
  • Create your 4-digit PIN for your 737 transactions.

Though i was first asked to enter the last 4-digit of my card and then the last 6-digit before i was able to create the PIN. Do let’s know what you think about the Gtbank simple banking new development via the comment.

    In the past week I have received SMS prompting me to use *737*5# to create PIN with no Debit Card. The procedure has been followed progressively and severally too up to the stage of “Enter 10 digit Account Number”. After entering the 10 digit A/C No; what shows is “Supplementary Service error. System failure”. Please let me know if there is any thing that was not done correctly. Again could it be checked in your system what is responsible for this message “Supplementary Service error. System failure” even when the procedure has been strictly adhered to. Best Regards.
