The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is currently reviewing the details of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted so far.
According to the Head of the Public Affairs and Protocol Unit of JAMB, Fabian Benjamin, as soon as all the necessary details are sorted out, the results of candidates who have taken the exam since it began on Tuesday will be released.
Benjamin made this statement on Thursday while observing the ongoing examination in Abuja, Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory.
He also described this year’s examination as one of the best JAMB has conducted in recent times, despite the hitches recorded at the commencement of the examination nationwide on Tuesday.
Out of the 947,000 candidates who have taken the test since Tuesday, only 64,000 have experienced hitches, and their tests have been rescheduled for other sessions.
Benjamin assured all candidates who registered for the exams that they will be given the opportunity to take the tests, and urged those who couldn’t sit for the first day’s exercise to continue checking their profiles to print their slips as they will be rescheduled to take the examinations.
