Reports suggest that Jose Mourinho, currently managing Roma, is in advanced talks to become the next manager of Paris Saint-Germain.

PSG director Luis Campos has reportedly spoken with Mourinho’s agent about a possible arrival this summer, and negotiations are said to be “advanced.”

Mourinho is also reportedly interested in the PSG project.

While at Roma, Mourinho led the club to a European trophy last season, but disagreements over transfers have started to materialize.

Mourinho has demanded that the club bring in three new players as replacements for Tammy Abraham, should the forward leave this summer.

Mail Sport also understands that Mourinho would be open to a return to Chelsea.

PSG are looking for a new coach to take over from Christophe Galtier and have also been in contact with representatives of Thiago Motta and Julian Nagelsmann.

On the pitch, PSG have struggled to achieve expected targets, crashing out of the Champions League and only winning the French championship in muted conditions.

Concerns are mounting over the morale of some of their key players, and the club is set for a big rebuild.

The arrival of a figure of Mourinho’s stature could help the club to keep some of their bigger stars and attract more talent to the Parc des Princes.

Mourinho has managed in some of Europe’s top divisions, notably managing Real Madrid, Inter Milan, Manchester United, and Tottenham, and has won two Champions League titles.
