Kano Governor Gives Directive on Asset Declaration for Commissioner Nominees

In Kano State, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has mandated all 19 Commissioner-nominees to declare their assets before being sworn in as cabinet members.

The Governor emphasized that compliance with code of conduct rules is mandatory and that no nominee will be sworn in without filling out the asset declaration form from the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB).

He also stated that all other political appointees under his administration must comply with the directive.

Governor Abba Yusuf reiterated his commitment to transparency and accountability in his administration, promising to champion good governance as promised during his election campaign.

The Governor recently appointed 19 commissioners and members of the state Executive Council, subject to confirmation by the state House of Assembly.
