The Sundance Film Festival documentary Kokomo City’s star, Koko Da Doll, passed away at the age of 35 after being discovered with what appeared to be a gunshot wound.

Rasheeda Williams, a transgender actress better known by her stage name Koko Da Doll, passed away at the age of 35.

According to sources, the celebrity, who appeared in the documentary Kokomo City from the 2023 Sundance Film Festival, was discovered on Tuesday in Atlanta, Georgia, with “an apparent gunshot wound.”

Report had it that she was later pronounced dead at the scene because, according to Atlanta police, she wasn’t “alert, conscious, or breathing.”

However, Friends and the Twitter account for the Sundance Film Festival both confirmed her death.

The Sundance Film Festival took to Twitter and  wrote: “We are saddened to hear about the death of Rasheeda Williams aka Koko Da Doll

We were honoured to have her at the Festival this year with KOKOMO CITY, where she reminded Black trans women, ‘we can do anything, we can be whatever we want to be.’ It is a tragic loss
