Kwam1 Lashes Out at Kollington Over Painful Betrayal

Veteran Fuji musician King Wasiu Ayinde, popularly known as Kwam1, has spoken out about the disappointment he feels towards fellow Fuji legend Ayinla Kollington.

Kwam1 expressed deep frustration over Kollington’s failure to show support during the passing of his mother in January 2025.

According to Naija News, Kwam1 revealed during an interview with Bamidele Adeyanju on Agbaletu Radio that Kollington did not reach out or offer any condolences despite being in the country and fully aware of the situation.

Kwam1 recounted how, when Kollington’s mother died, he personally took on all the burial expenses and brought high-profile guests, including governors, to honor her.

He stated that the gesture was one of respect and brotherhood, and he had expected the same kind of support when tragedy struck his own family.

Kwam1 said, “I’m very angry with Alhaji Kollington for not reaching out or offering condolences when I lost my mother. I joined hands with him to bury his own mother… I handled all the finances 100%.”

He added that Kollington’s only explanation was that he tried calling, and his call wasn’t picked.

Kwam1 questioned if such a weak excuse could justify the silence during a painful time in his life.
