Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has been struggling since the start of 2023, with four losses in the French top flight and a round-of-16 Champions League exit.

“The problem with Paris [PSG] is that when the number 1 objective is no longer accessible, it seems that the season no longer exists,” he said.
PSG has been craving Europe’s premier club competition since the takeover by Qatar Sports Investment in 2011, but winning the trophy has proved elusive.
The closest PSG has ever gone to winning the competition was in the 2019-20 season, where they lost 1-0 to Bayern Munich in Lisbon.
PSG’s recent struggles include two successive home defeats in Ligue 1, with their World Cup-winning superstar Lionel Messi being jeered by some fans.
