Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard is reportedly being “approached” to become the next manager of a national team.
After a 3-1 loss in the last 16 of the Qatar World Cup against France, Poland decided not to renew their contract with Czeslaw Michniewicz and have since started talks with the former Liverpool captain about taking over.
According to Polish outlet Meczyki, Gerrard is currently considering the offer.
Other candidates for the role include former Everton boss Roberto Martinez, Saudi Arabia’s Herve Renard, Vladimir Petković, Paulo Bento and Nenad Bjelica.
While many fans still hope to see Liverpool legend Gerrard return to Anfield as manager one day, his spell at Aston Villa may have damaged those chances.
Prior to that, Gerrard had won his first managerial role when he led Rangers to end Celtic’s streak of nine league titles in 2021.
