John Stones’ dramatic 98th-minute equalizer secured a 2-2 draw for Manchester City against 10-man Arsenal in a fiery Premier League clash on Sunday.

The match saw City regain top spot in the league, now two points ahead of fourth-placed Arsenal.

City started strong with Erling Haaland scoring his 100th goal for the club in just nine minutes after latching onto Savinho’s through ball and calmly finishing past David Raya.

Arsenal, however, fought back and turned the game around.

Riccardo Calafiori equalized with a stunning strike, followed by a set-piece header from Gabriel Magalhães to give Arsenal the lead.

The Gunners were reduced to 10 men just before halftime when Leandro Trossard was sent off for a second yellow card.

Despite the disadvantage, Arsenal showed resilience, holding off City’s attacks for much of the second half.

Raya made crucial saves, including a powerful header from Haaland and long-range efforts from City’s defenders.

City finally broke through in the dying moments as Stones capitalized on a scramble from a Jack Grealish cross to salvage a point and preserve City’s long-standing unbeaten home record, which dates back to November 2022.

This draw not only allowed City to climb back to the top of the table but also added another thrilling chapter to their rivalry with Arsenal, hinting at an exciting title race to come as the season progresses.
