Manchester United are working on a new deal to bring Wout Weghorst to Old Trafford after having their initial offer for the Besiktas loanee was rejected.
Ten Hag identified Weghorst as someone who could add depth to his attack following the departures of Ronaldo, and negotiations have been ongoing between United, Burnley, and Besiktas.
A fee will need to be paid to Besiktas in order for them to terminate the loan, which has not been agreed upon yet.
Following Weghorst’s waving goodbye to the club’s supporters after scoring against Kasimpasa at the weekend, United are hoping negotiations can move forward quickly so that they can complete this important transfer.
