Manchester United has announced a new shirt sponsorship deal with US software company Snapdragon, a subsidiary of technology company Qualcomm.

The £60 million deal is richer than Real Madrid’s current biggest shirt sponsorship package with Fly Emirates.

Qualcomm, valued at around £107 billion, has been a global partner of United since last year.

The Red Devils had been seeking new shirt sponsors after their existing deal with TeamViewer was not renewed.

The current deal with TeamViewer is worth £47 million per year, but shareholders criticized the agreement during the pandemic.

TeamViewer later agreed to sell back their front-of-shirt sponsorship rights to United.

The new sponsorship deal with Snapdragon will start from next season.
