The Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has instructed the state House of Assembly to initiate the impeachment process against Governor Siminalayi Fubara. The party’s caretaker committee chairman, Tony Okocha, warned that if the lawmakers fail to comply, the party will take constitutional action against them.
Okocha’s directive came in response to Governor Fubara’s statement that President Bola Tinubu’s involvement in the state’s crisis was merely a political solution.
Governor Fubara’s Focus on the People
In contrast to the APC’s directive, the Secretary to the Rivers State Government, Tammy Danagogo, emphasized that Governor Fubara is committed to improving the lives of the people of Rivers State. Danagogo stated that the governor is more interested in the welfare of the people than in pursuing personal glory through projects.
