Kevin De Bruyne is entering new territory this season with Napoli and already has his eyes locked on silverware – www.naijnaira.com reports.
In a conversation with Corriere dello Sport, the Belgian midfielder broke down how things feel under Antonio Conte compared to his years under Pep Guardiola.
“Pep focuses more on space and controlling the ball, while Conte emphasizes structure and mentality,” De Bruyne shared when asked about the shift in coaching styles.
After a decade in the Premier League, De Bruyne now leads a fresh Napoli squad, joining as a free agent following his Manchester City exit.
He’s joined in Naples by fellow new signings like Vanja Milinković-Savić, Lorenzo Lucca, Noa Lang, and Sam Beukema, signaling a bold rebuild.
With 24 career trophies already to his name, De Bruyne says winning the Scudetto would mean a lot: “It would be special—it’s my first time in Italy.”
Asked if he preferred Serie A, Coppa Italia, or the Champions League, he didn’t hesitate: “All three, there is no decision to make.”
Though cautious about predicting a clean sweep, he believes Napoli can stay competitive across all fronts if the squad stays fit and focused.
